Have you followed them through the census - if so what is the latest date(s) you have for both of them.

        Hi John
I think this is him in 1871 http://search.ancestry.co.uk/Browse/....59&sid=&gskw=

His birthplace is now given as Mile End & his wife has turned into Alice (or maybe a 2nd wife)
A Lodger with a Fanny Killick who is on the previous page
        Moggie

            There is a Charles Harvey death aged 47 in Mile end - June 1873 1c 322 ?

His birth year acording to his marriage cert and the various census seem to point to a birth c1828-1830 though!

I'm really confused now John. Is this your Charles in 1841 and did he knock about 10 years of the various census? The reason I ask is because he is he only one I can find who was born in Goudhurst (as he states in 1861) with the father John, a thatcher, that he states on the mariage cert!

Chrissie, Yep that's him in 1841.
I have his birth year as about 1822, you right he has "messed about" with his age at various points.
                Thanks John
