    Hi
    Address from an 1871 directory on Ancestry.
    Bridges House, Bridges Road, New Town,Stratford. I wonder if it is possible to find this address in 1881 & work out the enumeration district?

          I've found a couple of possibilities, can anyone please help interpret;
          Bridge House ... RG10/1634 - folio 100
          Bridge Road .... RG10/1623 - folio 195-198

          how do I find these on the census?

                      I did think that praps if you got Florence's birth cert (or one of the others that is very near to 1871) then at least you would have an address to work from?

                        http://yourarchives.nationalarchives...reet_Index_A-B

                        Bridge House and Bridge Road shown on above index, can anyone please explain how to transfer this info to the census search form?

                        Thanks for the advice Julie - we're still ploughing through Stratford districts ... only a few left to do!!

                        Update 16:28 - to carry out the search you need to have Ancestry 'old form' unfortunately still not found them.
