FTM 2006...how do I

make it private. At the moment it's not and I am a bit fed up with people just copying it without even contacting me.

Surely FTM is a program on your computer? How can anyone copy it??

If you mean you have it on Ancestry then go to 'tree pages' tab on your tree and from the drop down list select 'tree settings'. Here you get a new window with buttons at the top - select 'privacy settings' and then 'Private tree'.
