  • An Oddity

In the 1881 census on Ancestry a couple appears twice. If you search on Isaac Woodhams 1822 you will find the top two are the same couple, Isaac and his wife Mary Ann. The second one does not have the final s. I am almost certain that there was only one couple with these names and ages. Looking at the original images it looks as if they lived in a remote cottage which got included by two different enumerators.
    People: Canton, Wiseman, Colthup, Scrace

I've seen overlaps like this before as well. Even though the enumerators were local people it must have been difficult for them to work out exactly where they were to stop.
