  • Ftm 2012 Creates large amounts of fragments to file after syncing

Start with clean 1TB Disk (only 300GB in use) showing 0%fragmented 7 files 22 fragments (1 Folder).
Update one (1) file on ancestry @ 50 adds 10 deletes etc.- do sync to FTM file-
Syncs fine then does the media updates --
when finished - run-- CMD defrag c: -v-w-f-
The verbose (v) mode shows the details prior to actual defragmenting. now it shows 0%fragmented 288 files 10838 fragments (1 Folder).
THUS the SYNCING/Media updating is creating FRAGMENTATION.

Also after the clean unlink and download , the number of fragments is unbelievable. A defrag will run for thirty -forty hours.

This is the same on Vista or Windows 7 systems starting with clean defragmented disks. The problem is in the MEDIA files created or updated during syncing (I believe). The FTM and Backup files appear ok. Also as posted earlier the LOG/TXT file after syncing always shows "0" bytes and NO DATA IN IT.
PLEASE ASK FOR MORE SPECIFICS__GLAD TO HELP!!!
