  • What are these and how do I use them?

    Hello

    What are these:

    England, Andrews Newspaper Index Cards,

What do they mean and how do I find out if they are 'true'?

    Many thanks

I think that they are part of a huge database from various newspapers, I have not used them before, though I have seen references to them. sometimes you get a set of letters and numbers on the actual index bit you have found, this usually denotes which paper it came from ie LG= London Gazette and the date it was in the paper, then once you know which newspaper it came from you can look it up and get the details from it about the person in question. (I think!!)

      Thanks Julie
They just seem to pop up quite randomly in searches but I haven't been able to work out where they are from or what they link to!
