FTM2011/Charting Companion

I am trying to transfer my tree from FTM2011 to CC in order to produce charts without duplicate ancestor lines. I can only export files ending in ftmb from FTM2011 but only files ending in ftm or ftw are accepted by CC. I have still got the 2006 version of FTM (CC came free with it) - would the best solution be to try and transfer my tree to FTM2006? - or is there another way anyone knows please? I've emailed Progeny (CC's owners) but while waiting for a response thought there might be someone on the Forum who'd know! Many thanks, Mari

I use CC for FTM that came free with FTM2006 and had the same problem as you describe. Ihave been told by Progeny that it is not compatible with FTM2011 so you have to buy their latest programme to use FTM 2011 or later files.

If you still have FTM 2006 I imagine you could export a gedcom from 2011 and open it in 2006 and then print a chart.

That would be the only way.
