  • Council is first in the North West to put all burial and cremation records on-line

    from cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk

    20 February 2012

Cheshire West and Chester Council has become the first local authority in the North West to make all its burial and cremation records available to customers on-line.
Residents, family historians and genealogy researchers worldwide can now trace their ancestors on a national database via the Deceased Online website.
Users will be able to search by name of deceased, date of death, and location of a grave or cremation records free of charge. If relevant records are found, the on-line user has the option to purchase access to these for a modest fee to view, print and/or download.

To forget your ancestors is to be a brook without a source, a tree without a root....

Thanks for that Jean. It's good to see more being added to Deceased Online, it's a great resource.

our local authority has burial and cremation records on line. comes under bereavement services, you can search the records.

Do business with Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council online, including paying your Council Tax, renewing your library books and many others.
