  • Beatrice Potts born Isle of Wight 1883

Seeking information for a Beatrice Potts, born in 1883, Isle of Wight. Father was Edmund or Edward Potts, who was an Undertaker in Walthamstow, Essex.
In 1909, Beatrice married Paulin Huggett Henry Garner in the Parish of Walthamstow, Essex. Later that year, she gave birth to my mother, Kathleen (Katherine) Beatrice Garner. In 1937, P.H.H. Garner died. Efforts to find what happened to Beatrice from that period on have been difficult at best.. It is known she visited and perhaps lived in or near Rochester, NY post WWII. Definitely unconfirmed is a possibility she may have remarried and emigrated from the UK to the States.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for listening.

What sort of places have you looked so far?

Your puzzle looks very tempting, but there's no point in people going over what you've already done - unless you are asking people to do just that because you think yo may have missed something.

      Have you looked here? http://www.isle-of-wight-fhs.co.uk

The birth is in their transcribed index, with MMN = RIDGLEY.

And the Baptism is on FamilySearch, giving an exact DoB.

Have you tried following the life of the sister, Lilian Mary DRUCE (b 1874, per IoWFHS, rather than 1877 as she claims in the census!), with whom she was living in 1901? Sometimes that sort of search throws up the missing info.

or the other sister, Ada Louise BROAD (b 1872-73 per 1911)?

Actually, unless there's a brothers marrying sisters multiple marriage, your Beatrice seems to have had lots of siblings (at least nine of them 1868-1885), according to IoWFHS!
