John Carroll and Mary Butler

GGGGrandparents John Carroll and Mary Butler were born in Ireland according to the census's and married in The Belgian Chapel In Borough, London in 1848. Fathers are listed as John Carroll and Pierce Butler. Can't find any evidence so far of the Fathers' being in UK so suppose they came over on their own.

According to marriage cert. John was born in 1823 and Mary in 1825.

Haven't been able to find any clues in Ireland regarding baptisms or any clues esp. regarding Pierce Butler (thought that was probably the easier name to try and find.)

Unfortunately on the census's for both of them it always says just 'Ireland'.

Anyone fancy a quick look for anything in Ireland or can you point me in the right direction

I found Butlers in Carlow, Ireland if that is a start for you. If you Google genealogy & Butler, there are quite a few sites to try.
