Thanks Julie. Does it say if she is travelling alone or give pob? We're hoping she might be born in Bury, Lancs.

unfortunately, no it doesnt give POB, though it does state that she is 'protestant' and there are two other domestics that are grouped with her on the ships list, a Mary & Nellie GRACE

I was just looking at the ships list as its in alphabetical order and I see Patty was with a LORD family in the1911 - sadly no Lords on the ship. But what does the term "British Bonus Allowed" next to her and several other names mean please?

                    Hi There,

According to http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca - under the heading Immigration and Ciizenship.

'The British Bonus was a commission paid by the Canadian Government Immigration Branch to steamship booking agents in the UK for each suitable immigrant who purchased a ticket to sail to Canada. The immigrants themselves did not receive a bonus"
