WW1 question
11-02-12, 17:31
Does anyone know if WW1 soldiers were discharged before the armistice . I have a man discharged with several others in July 1918. Was this usual?
Thanks.
Cath.

There's a WWI forum on RC with lots of knowledgeable/helpful peeps. If you're not a member there, do you want me to post for you?

In a short word - yes there were. Paragraph 392 of kings regulations of 1912 explains all the reasons why a man may be discharged
briefly reasons such as wounded/unable to perform the duties required/conviction for civil offences/sickness are among the reasons as to why
a man could be discharged.
