This project will hopefully allow participants to compare their Y-DNA with John Casper Hounshell's and with other members of the group, and to discover further clues leading to John Casper Hounshell's ancestry. Christina (Messersmith) Hounshell's ship arrival in Pennsylvania has been found , and her birth place has been traced to Ofterdingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. Johan Caspar Haunshield's ship arrival and birth place is still unknown in 2011. DNA discovery's with this Hounshell Surname Group will assist in those discoveries.
