  • Abberline Edward 1840

I'm researching Edward Abberline the brother of Frederick Aberline the Inspector on the Jack the ripper case.

On Ancestry I can't find him on the 1881 and 1891 Census. In 1871 he is in Frimley, in 1901 he is in Reddin's Road, Camberwell. FMP 1891 shows him living in camberwell. Has he moved to Reddin's Road at that time?

    He had 3 children
    Helen 1871 (Frimley) - 1872(Medway)
    Cara 1873 (Medway)
    Edward 1878
Cara and Edward also appear on the FMP 1891 census
He married Hellen in Gillingham 14 Mar 1871 http://bit.ly/xUd5eL

I think this is him in 1891, but I couldn't find him in 1881

Oh, just realized you have him in 1891 - you just want him on Ancestry?

Edward junior on the same census has a birthplace Matta (Malta?)

Another transcription error on Ancestry Abbertine not Abberline.

Now to trace the family from 1872 in Medway to Malta in 1878
