I have been searching for months for Charles Tanner born about 1874 in Bermondsey, England, and his father also Charles born about 1849 in Bermondsey. I sent for the son's marriage certificate and found that his father was a leather worker and was able to find him in the 1891 census and Charles the son in the 1911 census. That's the only time I could find them. It's driving me crazy that I can't get any further with this line. Could anyone help me?

It's strange, but on the 1901 census site I can see a Charles G Tanner born Bermondsey, aged 26, living in Bermondsey, occ. coachman
.. but I can't find him on Ancestry.
I notice when he marries in 1906 he is shown as Charles George Tanner, which makes me think this one might be a possible ... if only I could find him!Elaine
