now then, on previous census, 1901/1891 they are still with Elizabeth Sims and her husband, they are listed as Nieces.. so can anyone find the connection please..

                1891: http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...ki1891&indiv=1

edit to say, they are listed as Nieces on 1901 NOT 1891..

I don't know whether it's any help but just in case you help finding John Samuel LIM haha with Elizabeth in 1881. No sign of Florence or Emily but the neice Louisa Hill is with them.

oooh blimey Chrissie.. looking at that census, it DOES look like an 'L' if you compare it to the 'L' of Louise and the 'S' of Samuel is definitely a different style..

I suppose it could have been Julie but I can't see one. It was in June 1863 Birmingham but I can't find a marriage for him before that.
p.s. They would only have been about 26 anyway.

Do you know the names of your girls Poole parents Julie? There are a couple of possible female Hill v Male Poole marriages in Birmingham. No Lim v Poole though.
