  • Free Image Editor for Windows 7

I was given a laptop for my Christmas/birthday and wondered if anyone could recommend a good free image editor for Windows 7.

I've always used, and loved, PaintShoPro but unfortunately my version, 9, doesn't work with Windows 7 and I can't afford to buy a version which does.

Apart from the usual cropping, colour correction, red eye etc, I'd like to find one which allows me to have several images open at once eg for cloning or comparison.

My laptop didn't come with an image editor Julie but thank you for the suggestion. I considered splashing out on a Windows 7 compatible version of PSP but, reading the reviews, Corel's current licensing terms seem very extreme.

I'm trying out Photofiltre at the moment as I found GIMP a bit confusing.
