A couple of years ago you kind people helped me with some book research - LINK
I'm now part way through another book, and am stuck again.
I'm researching a David Slater of Newark. He was a famous fishing tackle manufacturer.
He was in business in Newark during, at least, the 1870s to 1900s. He had business premises in Portland St. Newark then later in Harcourt St. and finally in Lombard Street.
I've found the death of a David Slater, aged 69, in Newark, in 1917. I'm not 100% sure this is my man.
I'd like to go backwards and find Birth (I'm not sure where he was born?) and possibly Marriage (maybe the Newark one in 1874?)
Any other details gratefully accepted (and acknowledged!)
Thank you
Brian
