Hi Everyone,
can anyone help with the following research:
Thomas Warner
b. ca. 1865 in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
m. On 13.07.1885, he married a Rosetta Agar at St.Peter's Church, Belgrave, Leicester. Witnesses were: George and Lucy Agar.
d. 1st. Quarter of 1947 in Leicester
Until 1923, Thomas was the licencee of the Pineapple Hotel in Leicester.
His father also named Thomas was a shoe finisher.
Rosetta Agar
b. 28.09.1864, Belgrave, Leicester.
c. 30.10.1864, Belgrave, Leicester.
d. 3rd. Quarter of 1949 in Leicester
Her father was a William Agar, b. ca. 1827/ 1828 in Leicester. Occupation: Labourer in local gasworks.
Her mother's christian name was: Emily, b. ca. 1839/1840 in Nottingham. Her maiden name is still a mystery.
Thomas and Rosetta had 10 children: Lily 1888, Alice 1889, William Alfred 1890, Roland 1893, Elsie 1896, George 1900, Horace Lennard 1902,
Ernest 1905, Evelyn 1908 and Edwin - DOB NK.
In the 1891 census, they appear to be living at: No. 4. The Green, Leicester and Rosetta's parents living at No. 8. The Green, Leicester.
In the 1901 census, some appear to be living at: No. 19. Checketts Road, Leicester.
I have a copy of their marriage certificate and a newspaper article and photograph from the Leicester Mercury newspaper dated July 1945 showing Rosetta and Thomas on the occasion of their diamond wedding anniversary (60) looking at a photograph on the mantlepiece taken on their golden wedding anniversary.
Any help with this research, would be much appreciated.
Brian
