  • Please help me find Richard

Can anyone help me find Richard Procter,
today i received a Marriage cert of Thomas Procter which names his father as Richard Procter.
Thomas was born 1813/1814 and he married Rachel Gornall 3rd Feb 1838 in the High Street Chapel in Lancaster
    Richards occupation is a hatter.
how can i find out more about Richard because he isn't on any census with Thomas and his wife
    thanks

There is a submitted record on Family Search which has a Thomas Procter (born abt 1811 Billington, Lancashire) with father Richard.

Do you know where your Thomas was born?

Edit: Just noticed that this Thomas married Alice Lee on 4 Jan 1836, so probably not yours. Sorry.

Honest answer, I don't know! though if you were a tailor then part of the attire would be a hat?

OPC, Online Parish Clerk, family history, local history, free data, parish registers, census, Lancashire, ö

have you tried here? for the bapt? I will have a look to see if I can find which parish Wray will come under.

edit: Wray comes under Melling Parish :smilee:

maybe it might be worthwhile emailing the OPC and asking them if they have any non con registers

failing that have you looked here?
