  • Where's Harry in 1901 and 1911?

    Can anyone please locate Harry Scrimshire b Q2 1873 Birmingham in 1901 and 1911 (if he's still alive!)

    In 1891 he's a baker journeyman (index lists him as assistant, but image says journeyman) living with Baker & Confectioner Jaben Sarsons, Aston, Birmingham.

            "Jaben Sarsons" is really "Jabez...", should you ever need to look for him.
            Harry is listed as Assistant in the relationship column.

              ... I've seen this and think this is the family in 1881 and thought I'd found Harry in 1891 (see first post), however now wondering if the baker journeyman is him in view of Janet's find;

              found a death in 1892 for a Harry Scrimshire in Coleshill aged 18
              as the family were living at Marston Green Cottage Homes, Coleshill where Harry's father Wm was an officer at the home in 1881 and 1891. Harry is with them in 1881 but not 1891 - so it looks likely that 1892 death may be Harry.

                Update;

                Obviously not fully awake at time of the last post .... now think it likely that 1891 baker journeyman was Harry aged 17 + 1892 death registration at Meriden (this includes Coleshill) could be him too.

                Thanks again everyone for your help.

                    Thanks again for your help Janet. How were you able to establish his abode at the time of his death? Do you have Coleshill burial records?
