Dear all,
My research has taken me back to the second earlies Gargrave Christening record. However, I only have access to some 18th century transcriptions of the original records which tells me that:
11th April 1558
“Ann Armytstead daughter of Tho. (?)" [was baptised]
As Ann is an extremely early ancestor of mine, I'd love to have the ability to decide for myself whether the father is 'Tho.[mas]' or someone else entirely. Does anyone here have access to the old Gargrave fiches or even the original parchments and is able to give a better idea of the father's name...?
Any help - hugely appreciated!
Stephen
