Help neeeded with wedding witnesses please

My Gran and Grandad got married in 1912 at Hastings Register Office Sussex.

The witnesses at their wedding were Wiliam and Kitty Berryman. When I looked for these two on 1911 census the only ones I could find were 6 and 4 so in 1912 they would have been 7 and 5...witnesses at a wedding!!!!.

On the 1911 census they are living in the next street to the address Gran gives on her wedding certificate.

Any one got any ideas on this one?

The children's father was also called William Berryman, aged 33 in 1911 so a better candidate to be a witness perhaps?
