Does your local library give online access to the 17th & 18th Century Burney Collection of Newspapers? I think there are quite a few London papers included in the collection.
Also the Times Digital Archives which covers the very latter part of the 18th century.

No, I only have access to 19th century British papers. Will google the Burney collection.
