  • Dutch parish records

I don't even know if these exist like the English ones..

I'm doing my brother in laws tree and have used Genlias to get back to an 1820 marriage. As luck would have it, both bride and groom's dates of birth and parents' names ore noted.

Now, I've searched through Wiki here and it's all Dutch to me....lol

Anyone know a good site that might have Dutch PRs?

    Thanks.

The IGI has masses, but they are not indexed, so a certain amount of trawling is needed, but I have found lots of info on my lot in there. I find more info on the Civil Registration records, as long as you know where they are or town they were from. PM me if you need more info

Here is a link to the collection - don't bother using the search facility, it doesn't work, just go to browse and you will get a list of provinces, then towns.
      Happy hunting!

In case you didn't find our page on The Netherlands: http://www.familytreeforum.com/conte...he-Netherlands - accessed through World Index on the main menu of the Reference Library and then World Index Page.

Several links do lead to websites in Dutch, but there is a long list of searchable sites and advice in English.
