Just looking for any gross mis-transcriptions.

Hi Margaret - thanks for help

Unfortunately, I'm not sure .. he married 2nd wife, Mary Ann, Q2 1871. His son from his first marriage is living with his grandmother (Wm's m-in-law)

      1881 he's a striker(?) at Bicycle works
      1891 onwards he's a labourer, born Coventry c1863

All in all, not a lot to go on!!

ps 1861 and 1891 name has been mistranscribed Challand

the only other thing I can think of is to trawl St Michael in 1871, they seem to be very grounded and are there in 51/61

I've just found the birth of their (I presume) first child William b1872 at Holy Trinity Church, Coventry ... according to baptism record Wm and Mary Ann were living at 13 Cox Street, Coventry

I think baby Wm must have died as he's not on the 1881 census ... off to see if I can find him.

Found him ... baby Wm died Q4 1872.

mm well, the census for coventry is very sparse, tbh I would have expected to see more than there was.. I have not spotted him at all, so maybe Cov isnt complete at all on Ancestry??

Thanks very much for your time and persistence Julie ... only consolation is that it wasn't just me who couldn't find him.
Marriage cert and baby Wm's burial record, have however provided useful information.
