Help reading occupation please

I have just received a marriage certificate but I'm having trouble reading George Marments occupation can anyone help please....

i think it's ostler. which is like a groom for horses. it looks like cutler, but if you look closely the 'c' is closed forming an 'o'. the only occupation i can think of 'o.tler' is ostler.

I think it says ostler and that is without seeing these replies first

It says OSTLER Ness.. :smilee: (I think its something to do with Horses)

Ahh yes I see it now, I'm sure it's the right marriage cert but my guys father was a haulier according to the census




Edit: I've just checked my records George was a haulier in 1841, 1851 & 1861 census. His sons marriage took place in Oct 1861 by this time geroge was 55 years old so I wonder if maybe he wanted to slow down a little & changed his type of work to an ostler....
