  • French Embassy problems

    Hello,

I'm trying to get in touch with the French Embassy in Washington to find out more about the career of my ancestor. I emailed the main email addy but no reply and it's been about a week. Is there an archives which deal with this sort of thing or is it impossible to get this sort of info.

Genealogy of hoi polloi is probably not high on their agenda. They'll probably reply if/when they get around to it - and it's unlikely to get given to anyone senior to deal with! Having said that, my attitude is "nothing ventured - nothing gained", so it certainly makes sense to ask.

I'd suspect that there is an archives section.

Ahhh your right, I'm gonna email them now. He worked in the Consulate office in Philadelphia longer so I'll email them as well.
