could somebody please look at the 5th person down on FMP its transcribed as Elizabeth Mason aged 12 but on Ancestry it says Elizabeth Nixon??? aged 17 ???

It looks more like Mason to me Val. They seem to have scribbled over the Elizabeth don't they.

Definitely aged 12, there's a 7 further down the page which is nothing like this figure. The surname is harder to read but I'd say Mason, or possibly Mison but not Nixon.

(The Scribble over Elizabeth is caused by long tails on letters in the name above)

i'd say its MASON Val, if you look below it, there is a chap by the name of COX the 'x' doesnt look anything like the name above. :smilee:
