Here he is in 1901 with family:
1901 Head: Frederick W Lewis b1855 Islington. Boot maker’s Manager.
Wife: Lucretia b1852 St Pancras.
Dau: Edith b1881 Islington Boot shop assistant
Son: William b1883 Islington Boot warehouse assistant
Address: 209 Liverpool Rd Civil par/reg district: Islington, London.
Ecc par: Holy Trinity Sub-reg district: Barnsbury
He isn't in 1911 census or in BMD death/marriage. In the will of Edmund Harding made in 1922, he leaves a bequest to William 'now in New Zealand'.
So, it is possible he went between the 1901 and 1911 census times. Are there passenger lists for New Zealand which anyone can access? Or censuses in New Zealand? Whole new area for me...
Thanks...
