  • 1911 help please.

    Hi,

I have found an Louisa Lockton on the 1911 summary books on ancestry, I have been using the summary books to find the correct image but cant seem to find it.

The summary books have Louisa in Nottingham, civil parish Worksop and the ED is 14.

When I enter Worksop and Nottinghamshire on the 1911 images it is only giving me the following ED numbers: 2, 3, 4 and 6.

Can anyone else find the correct image on Ancestry please?

    Kelly

I can't understand why I can't find the image on ancestry?

          Hi Raven,

I can find the summary book image, but when I try to find the household image for Louisa and family I can't find it.

If I go to the 1911 images and enter Nottinghamshire and the civil parish Worksop Ancestry then only gives the following ED numbers to choose from: 2, 3, 4 and 6. But the ED number for Louisa is 14.

could it be that they have still to digitize the rest of the ED's for that Civil Parish??

I think that may be the case. There is a George R Lockton on the 1911 in Worksop but I can't find him on ancestry as well. :(

Sometimes you have to be a bit creative with parish names to get the correct enumeration district.

                        Hi Uncle John,

Yes, I have found that to be the case quite often.

But when you look at the original 1911 images you have to choose the county and parish from a drop down box.

It looks like ancestry don't have all the 1911 images for Worksop Nottingham yet.
