  • Help With Records

Will someone with a world membership to ancestry please help with looking at some records?!

James Clarkson (1791-1853) London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1921 Record
His spouse should be Elizabeth Francis Berry (1794-1852).

Also any census records or death record for James would help greatly as well.

    Also:

Could anyone look for any information on Richard Metcalfe (born abt 1835 in England, not sure of the death) he married Mary Jane Stewart (abt 1836-?) who had a child Mary Jane Louisa Metcalfe (1836-1932). Any census' would be helpful but more so looking for the parents of Richard and his wife...

    Thank you!!!

James Clarkson bachelor of this parish
Elizabeth Francis Berry spinster of this parish
In the presence of Thomas & Mary Berry
Looks as though they both signed their names

What area were the Metcalfe's from ??

    Cheers Sue

          Should that be 1863-1932?

There is a baptism entry on Ancestry (LMA records) for Mary Jane Louisa Metcalfe, born 19th September 1863, baptised 18 September 1864 St Mary Newington, parents William Metcalfe (occ Wadding Maker) and Mary Jane Metcalfe.

There is a marriage certificate on Ancestry (LMA records) for a Mary Jane Louisa Metcalfe (born c 1863) to Henry Robert Clarkson 19 Sept 1882 - Holy Trinity, Islington.
          Father's name William Metcalfe (fishmonger)
Witnesses are William Metcalfe and Mary Jane Metcalfe.

There is also a marriage certificate on Ancestry (again the LMA records) for William Metcalfe (full age) to Mary Jane Stewart (full age) - 7 Sept 1862 St John the Evangelist, Lambeth.
Father's names: Thomas Metcalfe (occ Wadding maker) and Richard Stewart (occ. Laundry Man)

Is this the line you are looking at - and if so why did you think that Mary Jane Stewart married Richard Metcalfe?

Oh wow! I thought it was Richard because that's what I was told. We don't have much information on this side of the family! Thank you everyone sooo much! I really wish I could find more information on James Clarkson!

And yes it should be 1863! Thanks for the correction!
