  • Can You Help? Catherine SPOONER

I have hit a Brickwall and am wondering if anyone can help me please. M 5x Great grandmother was Catherine SPOONER married Richard BLUNN at Wootton Wawen Warwickshire England 15 Nov 1790. Their children were Elizabeth, William, Richard and Samuel. I cannot find any evidence of her birth/baptism although I gather there may be a few SPOONER families within the area at that time.
    So grateful for any help.
    Thank you
    Marvyn

well, it looks like at least a bishop's transcript of Wootton Wawen exists, but it might be a labor of love to work thru them:

"Most pages are out of order and many are missing." - that sounds ugly! There are other films that may pertain to your search also. You can order them to your nearest Family History Centre and review them there.

Did Catherine live till the 1841 or 1851 census? Do you have an indication where/when she was born?

Has anyone figured out a way to tell which films have been indexed?

Thanks for the information. I will follow that through. She died sometime before 1837.
