Think I may have asked this before....if so apologies. Does anyone know who I could ask if they could find me a photo of the General Blucher pub on High Cross St (now High Cross Leys) ? I've got the books on old Nottm & know a few sites etc, but this is not the kind of place that would be on there. Just wondering if there's any specialist dealer or Old Nottingham Pubs club or whatever who could keep an eye open for me

By the way, I MAY have found a descendant of James Cline....the person my ggg grandfather robbed & tried to murder in 1858. The problem is that he doesn't appear on the Nottm census records, so I doubt we'll ever know. This one was the correct age &, as far as the documents show, spent his life in Hammersmith (the person hasn't been able to get further back with the family, so wondering if they were Kleins who came over to Britain). The main point linking him is that he was a musician, like the James Cline involved in the incident. I'd quite like it to be him because he was "an habitual" for things like that himself, so I don't need to feel bad. Anyway, who knows, one day, I may find out (don't hold your breath)

Have you tried www.picturethepast.org.uk. They have loads of photos of Nottingham and are adding all the time.
Long, long time since I drank in Nottingham as well. Flying Horse was one of our favourites, so showing my age there, also the fountain on Bridlesmith gate.Lin
