  • Wikiworldbook, anyone heard of it?

Just did a google search for an ancestor and got a hit on the site, anyone ever used it at all?

When I search the site there are no results though? Strange.

I have heard of it before Glen but never really looked at it.
A bit confused as to what it really is - reading the bumph I can find it appears to be a search engine index, and as such doesn't actually contain the info you are looking for but redirects you to where it is. Am I right on that?

What was the info you found - might be easier to view with an example to try out.

I entered Benjamin Goulson in google and it came back with a hit for a census with him and his son on the site, looking at the site though it seems to be an American based and biased people finder.

To be honest it's the first time I have really found anything beyond my own threads when searching, bar the usual company director stuff that is.

Even had some results from Australian papers 1860-1910 that look interesting but there isn't (as yet) anyone "spare" in my tree they could relate to and a few Ancestry refs that claim people went here there and everywhere complete with headstone images in from the USA in different surnames alongside a UK death reference!!!!!. Think i'll give those a miss.
