You don't mention the year for the incoming passenger list.

Ooops - yes, you do: I misread the year range!

First record is from the 1819-20 Passenger Lists

Second record is the Passenger Arrivals at the Port of Baltimore, 1820-1834, arrival dated as March 1820.
Is there anywhere to check departures from the USA or arrivals into England for the early 1820's?

Think I have answered my own question and there isn't a record of incoming for the 1820's, if I have the right chap he had to return before 1823.

So next question, training/apprenticeship records? Though I seem to remember that a surgeon had to undergo 7 years training, seems a lot by the age of 22, was he fibbing or has 1793 been mistranscribed as 1798 over the years?

Thanks Sue, certainly got a couple of mine in there as surgeons and the one as a baker.
