This one is William Frederick Mitchell, born 1863, Kildare. I'm looking for his British Army record. I didn't find his records in FMP.
Family rumor is that he was wounded in the Boer War. Since he's in Devon for the 1891 census (assistant jeweler/watchmaker) and he's in the US then Canada in 1902, I thought it would have been in the First Boer War.
I believe he served in the 2nd Dorset Regiment then the 2nd Devonshire Regiment. He did not stay in till pension.
Ultimately, I hope to retrieve his attestation papers.
Thanks!
