  • Can I have a '41census lookup please?

Not sure if I have ever had anything for this chap (eg marriage etc), nearest in my tree is Benjamin born 1779 pretty close by in an adjoining county so certainly a contender, details have been found via familysearch.....

    birth: 1781
    residence: 1841 —Thoroton, Nottinghamshire, England

    name: Benjamin Goulson
    event: Census
    event date: 1841
    gender: Male
    age: 60
    record type: Household
    registration district: Bingham
    sub-district: Bingham
    civil parish: Thoroton
    county: Nottinghamshire

    Thanks

1841 census also includes Sarah aged 50, and John Elmitt aged 4.
Benjamin was a farrier, non were born in county.

        Thanks.

Farrier sounds like a match to the family occupation of my Benj b1779, I guess this must be a marriage connecting the families at a later date

        Benjamin Goulson
        Bride's Name: Sarah Elmitt
        Marriage Date: 1807
        Marriage Place: Coningsby, Lincoln, England

I think the Benjamin from the marriage may be the same chap who is mentioned in the London Gazette in Louth (he was made bankrupt after his smithy business failed).

Probable death record of the chap from the '41?

          Deaths Mar 1846 (>99%)
          --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

          GOULSON Benjamin Bingham 15 329

          Nearest to a death/marriage for Sarah would be a death in Boston;

          Deaths Jun 1866 (>99%)
          --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

          GOULSON Sarah 83 Boston 7a 250

So this may be a birth record for her.....

          Sarah Elmit
          Gender: Female
          Baptism/Christening Date: 14 Mar 1784
          Baptism/Christening Place: WALTHAM,LINCOLN,ENGLAND
          Father's Name: Jno Elmit
          Mother's Name: Eliz

Is she still around in the '51 & 61 anywhere please?
