  • Who did Elizabeth marry?

    Afternoon all.

Another Goulson query.......bet you never expected that now did you?

    Elizabeth Goulson, b1823, Knipton, Leics.

She appears in Lowestoft in the '41, unmarried and with her b-i-l George Hay then vanishes.

I have found a marriage in the Newark Reg Dist, pretty close to where she was born and where lots of the family can be found but not certain if it is her or who she married.

    Marriages Jun 1852 (>99%)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Ellis George Newark 7b 460
    Goulson Elizabeth Newark 7b 460
Hunt Thomas Wilde Newark 7b 460

Can someone please check the '61 onwards and see who Elizabeth married and see if she could be the 1823 Elizabeth i'm seeking?

    Thanks

Elizabeth Goulson married George Ellis - 15th May 1852, St Mary Magdalene, Newark.

This is from Notts Marriage Index, it doesn't give any further details unfortunately.

Thanks for looking, the only way to be certian will be the cert and see who the daddy is, but as ever with this lot, the choice will always boil down to working out which Joseph or Benjamin, occ blacksmith, I'm dealing with.
