  • Could I have a little bit of help please

I am trying to help a cousin out but don't have ancestry at the moment.

    The info we have is

Lawrence Ensor married Eva Hinchley 1926 Nottingham. We know all about the Ensors but are just trying to find a few simple facts on Eva.

Birth Eva Hooper Hinchley Mar 1901 Nottingham.

    1911 Free search

    I found

Eve Hooper aged 10 born Nottingham
    living with
Sarah Hinchley aged 48 born 1863 Nottingham
Rhoda Hinchley aged 21 born 1890 Nottingham
John Hinchley aged 10 born 1901 Nottingham.

Rhoda was born Dec 1889 Nottingham (Inchley)
bap at St Lukes Nottingham 16 Jul 1890 to Charles and Sarah.

Just like to know if Evas parents were Charles and Sarah or why she is down as Hooper.

Please don't go to a lot of trouble but thanks for any help
    Lin

      Thank you Sandra.

Wondering now if she will like this info as it looks as if she is James and Sarahs child and they aren't married!!

We are all now wise enough to know that nothing is a surprise any more but newbies sometimes get a shock.

      Thanks again

Have you got the information from the 1891 census?

It shows Rhoda born 1890 living with Sarah, Charles, her Mothers parents, Richard and Emma Mason, and her cousin John.

No I don't. If you could just put ages etc to it that would be lovely. I will then know her Mothers maiden name.

          Thanks a lot

I will have to see what I can find on her. Not got much time to sort this out as my cousins relation is going back to America soon.

I have Rhodas bap off Freereg but didn't even look for Evas as most of them finish at 1900.

                        Off to look now.

Could any one find anything on James H Hooper. Have his death as1925 aged 78.

                        Thanks.

Won't be here until 1pm now but will be back then

James H Hooper b 1849 Worcestershire. Need to find him further back.

I think you need to get the birth certificate for Eva otherwise you are working on guesswork and good as that might be it is not fact.
