Two programmes on one laptop.

Hello,

Ive just bought Family Tree Maker 2011 to take advantage of the six month free Ancestry offer. However, on my laptop I currently use RootsMagic 4.

My question is, can I safely add FTM to my laptop without it corrupting / deleting RM4 ?

Or do I need to install FTM at all to get the free Ancestry offer ?

I have Rootsmagic 4 and Family Tree Maker 2008 installed on one of my computers , they are just programs and do not interfere with each other .

I do not know about having to install FTM to get free Ancestry , I should image somebody else can answer that.

yes you will have to install FTM to get the free Ancestry and do their web searches.
