      Sadly not Julie, I still haven't gone down the route of a new sub to anywhere yet so working of old refs I have from TP.

      About the only thing I can add really is Richard Boag married Mary Ann Bruce, 23 Sep 1828, St Hilda, South Shields
      Details taken from the St Hilda Registers 1825-1837.

              Thanks Elaine

              Can't you tell i'm trying to get things arranged lately, from my TP site whilst looking at Mary A.....

              Possible Baptism; based on surname Hunter from mother in `51 return

              MARY HUNTER Pedigree
              Female

              --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
              Event(s):
              Birth: 03 OCT 1809

              Christening: 27 NOV 1809 Earsdon By North Shields, Northumberland, England

              Parents:
              Father: THOMAS HUNTER Family
              Mother: ANN HUNTER

              Then again, if the relationship is really m-i-l that suggests it was Richard's mother who remarried and therefrore the baptism above is not connected at all?

                My apologies - relationship is mother - not mother-in-law. I just edited the post to correct it!

                  Hmmm, not that this is about Richard but suggestions please..

                  Not sure what name to use for a baptism search for the head (Mary A, Age 44), shown in the '51, Mary Ann Bruce seems possible based on the baptism of the daughter in 1837;

                  Name: Mary Ann Bruce Boag
                  Gender: Female
                  Baptism/Christening Date: 28 Jun 1837
                  Baptism/Christening Place: Tynemouth, Northumberland, England
                  Birth Date: 09 Jan 1837
                  Father's Name: Richard Boag
                  Mother's Name: Mary Ann
