Eleanor Suffield nee Purves

can anyone see her please in the 1901 census.

she was born 06/05/1863 in Hartlepool, and her parents were John Purves, b. 1837 and Elizabeth Leighton. b. 1838 sunderland

she married Wallace William Suffield (b.1852ish Warwickshire) in 1883 Newcastle upon Tyne.

I have found Wallace on the 1901 cens and he is stating 'single' and fibbing about his age.

I cannot find Eleanor though in 1901. I know that she did not die as she marries again in 1925.

Do you know if there were any children born between 1891 and 1901?
Have you found her in the 1911 census, if so where was she living.

No children born at all to either marriage as far as I know. I do have that they (The Simpsons) did adopt a child later on but I do not know when they adopted,

I have not found her on the 1901 and I hadnt looked on 1911 yet. I presume that she stayed in/around Newcastle her parents address was 23, Howard Street, Newcastle Central.

Thats brill Elaine, I know that Florence was a name used alot by the family, Just goes to show that you shouldnt just rely on family artifacts/trees that are written down.

as her father was John, perhaps his father was Joseph? I just dont know Elaine, though it does look likely.

thing is, there are so many PURVES' in and around N.O.T. that without the certs I don't suppose i'll know.
