  • Emily Clarke

Can anyone help me find where and when my relation Emily Clarke nee Thompson died and was buried. Her last known address in 1896 was Delavan, Wisconsin, USA.
She was born in 1870 in Cambridgeshire, England. Her husband was William Thompson, he died in 1903 in Elkhorn, Walworth, Wisconsin at the age of 38 and buried in Delavan, Wisconsin.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Colin

              I wonder if she remarried.
The 1910 US census shows an Emily Obrien born 1870 England, living with spouse John J Obrien. Also living with them is Betey (Betsy) Clark aged 75, shown as mother-in-law.
Address at the time is Delavan Ward 1, Walworth, Wisconsin.

Year of immigration for both Emily and Betsy shown as 1873.

that does look VERY promising, esp as she was widowed in 1903?

Colin, can you tie the mother-in-law Betsy Clarke born c1835 England into the family - that would help with regards to the 1910 census which I found.

So the 1910 census looks a possibility in which case we are looking for a death of Emily Obrien, rather than Emily Thompson.
