  • How can I re-size

Images in elements 7 to fit a particular background, so they don't come out squashed up please?

Don't know if it's the same as my Photoshop 7, but if you go to image size you can input the size you want. Make sure you tick the box "Maintain Proportions" or something similar.

Many thanks Wendy, it is photoshop 7 Should I do this every time I add an image to a background Wendy? I have noticed that most of my images seem to fit perfectly and without distortion, but others do tend to be very squat.

That's up to you Jen. If the image looks OK then I wouldn't change it. If it looks squashed then yes change it as I described.

Thanks Wendy. In my image size all I can see is something which says 'Constrain proportions' I tried changing the pixels from cm's to inches but it still looked the same and when I checked it had reverted back to it's original settings. Unless I'm looking in the wrong place.
