FTM and .NET Errors

I'm trying to install FTM 2011 on my XP desktop machine, which currently has .NET 1.0. Apparently, FTM needs .NET 3.5, so I downloaded it, but when I try to install I get the following errors:

Is this telling me that I need to install V2 first? I googled and found lots of information, but I'm still not sure how to proceed!

1. Insert the FTM 2011 CD.
2. Click Start / My Computer.
3. Right-click your CD-ROM drive / Left-click Explore or Browse (This will display the contents of the FTM2011 CD).
4. Click Edit / Select All.
5. Click Edit / Copy.
6. Close the My Computer window (Make sure you're looking at your Desktop).
7. Right-click anywhere on your Desktop as long as it's not on an icon.
8. Select New / Folder.
9. Name the folder FTM2011.
10. Right-click the FTM2011 folder we just created.
11. Click Paste (Wait for the files to be copied to this new folder).
12. Double-click the FTM2011 folder.
13. Run Setup.exe from the FTM2011 folder.

Lorry, have come across this problem before. You need to install Net.Framework 2.0 first - and when that is installed download Net.Framework 3.5

Thank you, both. Val, that's where I got V3.5, which is what gave me the errors. Elaine, I suspected as much, so I'll do that tomorrow when I log into my desktop.
