    Val

I think it might be 144 Neale street Camberwell but if that isn't a 1 then maybe it's just a pen mark before the number 44 ?!

Struggling to read the other one !

    Liz

Could it be Jackson street, something I can't make out, Liverpool ? No it's 61 makin street,County road Liverpool.

    Liz again

Neate Street ran from Wells Way to the Old Kent Road (North of and parallel to the Surrey Canal). Sadly there is only a short bit of the road left the Old Kent Road end. The rest is part of Burgess Park now. My Saturday job was in the Wells Way public library on the corner of Wells Way and Neate Street. The library was attached to the public wash house - still in use in the 60s. Have a look for Neate Street on Booths London. I think there is a link to it on this site.
