Staff at The National Archives (TNA) are calling for family historians to help shape the future of the institution by getting involved in its decision-making process.
A new User Advisory Group has been set up to offer volunteers the opportunity to represent the needs and views of TNA users in a series of discussions to be held over the coming months. Participants will be responsible for gathering feedback from visitors, as well as disseminating details about the institutions' current and future plans with other members of the community. Organisers expect volunteers to sign up for a minimum of 12 months.
Meetings will be held four times a year at The National Archives in Kew, with the first scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 7 June. Members who are eager to take part can register their interest on the archives' website before the closing date of Monday, 23 May.
