I agree it looks like farmer at first glance but doubt there were many of them in Bethnal Green, even in 1841!
I think the first letter of both words is "T" - compare it with the first letter of Thomas Taylor. First word could be "Type" but what looks like a p may be the old way of writing double s. If so, I can't think what the word can be. Second word might be tanner.
Just found him on 1851
He was a "type founder"...presumably making type from metal.
