Were is Mabel Brown ?

Hi All, I am stuck on my own tree so trying to help a friend of mine
I am looking for one of his Aunts Mabel Brown.
His dad was Ernest Edward Brown b. 1903 Poplar
dads siblings Ivy Maud Brown b. 1900 Poplar
Dorothy Brown b. Poplar 1897
Hilda Brown b. Poplar 1898
He says his Dad had another sister Mabel Brown and has confirmed this with his cousin.
But I cant find Mabel at all ?
(they tell me Mabel would be the oldest)
Father Walter Edward Brown
Mother Charlotte Brown (nee Dunk)

I have them in the 1901 census RG13 Piece 347 Foilo 83 Page 35 (no Mabel)
(Obviously Ernest not born then)
I have the family in 1911 RG14 Piece 1693 Reference:
RG14PN1693 RG78PN59 RD22 SD2 ED16 SN405
Again no Mabel and no Walter E Brown. (although that's another story
(Ivy died in 1902)
So I cant find the birth of Mabel or any othere details ?
Her parents originated in Newhaven Sussex, and I am told that at some point Mabel returned to Sussex possibly as a servant ?
(not sure if Mabel Born in Poplar or Sussex ?

There is a Mabel Brown age 6 b 1895 listed in The Childrens Hospital, Hackney Road, Bethnal Green.
RG 13 pc283 f 148 pg 5

The only other possible I found was one listed as niece age 7 to John Cupit & his wife Nelie Cupit in Camberwell. All the other Mabel Browns I found were listed as daughters & one grandaughter but the family name was Beard.
